Impatiens glandulifera: the Bach Flower of impatience

Himalayan balsam, giant balsam, granular impatiens, Himalayan impatiens ... Under all these names hides a single plant: Impatiens glandulifera. Native to Kashmir and Nepal, it was introduced in France during the 19th century: quick to grow and to spread against all odds, it has adapted very well to the French environment. Maybe even a little too well, because since the XXth century, this plant is considered as an "invasive" species...

The granular impatiens is nevertheless a very beautiful plant: look for it near waterways, in full sun or in areas half immersed in darkness, if you wish to admire it. You will recognize it by its rather impressive size - it can reach up to two meters high and about sixty centimeters wide -, by its serrated leaves and especially by its superb flowers, blooming from July to September. They can take different shades: pink, pale mauve, red...

To note that the "fruits" of this plant are very particular: they form kinds of very long and striped capsules. When they are detached, they release many seeds at high speed at several meters of distance, which is why Impatiens glandulifera is a plant which spreads quickly.

Posology

The Flowers of Bach® Original are taken orally.

2 drops in a glass of water or on the tongue 4 times per day.
