What is Opti-EPA by Douglas Laboratories?

Opti-EPA is a very high potency marine lipid concentrate that provides twice the amount of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA per softgel than other fatty acid supplements. Opti-EPA is strictly screened for toxic metals and chemicals, completely free of cholesterol, and carefully processed and handled to avoid oxidation.

What does Opti-EPA do?

One landmark study, the GISSI-Prevenzione Trial, showed supplementation of omega-3 fatty acids (in a ratio of DHA to EPA of approximately 2:1) significantly maintained cardiovascular function in adults. The exact reasons for this benefit may be related to the ability of fish oil to lower LDL and triglycerides, inhibit excessive platelet aggregation and reduce fibrinogen levels. Omega-3 fatty acids also support the body's normal inflammatory processes and cardiac health. Who should use Opti-EPA?
