Phytovie - aloe vera | laxative 60 caps

Traditionally used in herbal medicine as a laxative

Recommended Dose (Adults and adolescents 12 years and over):

1 capsule, once a day at bedtime, with water. Allow at least 6-12 hours for laxative effect to occur. Take 2-3 times per week. If results are not observed, the frequency of use may be increased up to once daily. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications or health products.

Medicinal Ingredient:

Each capsule contains 100mg extract standardized at 20% hydroxyanthracene derivatives from latex of Aloe vera L. (Barbados Aloe).

Non-medicinal Ingredients:

Vegetable capsule, Microcrystalline cellulose, Magnesium stearate

Duration of use:

Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 7 days.

Cautions/Warnings:

Consult a health care practitioner prior to use: if you are taking thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root or other medications or health products which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance; if you have kidney disorder or are taking cardiac medications (e.g. cardiac glycosides or antiarrhythmic medications); if you have feacal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever; if symptoms persist or worsen. Reduce dose or discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and/or diarrhea. Do not use: if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you have abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicits, inflammatory colon disease (e.g. Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis), abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes, hemorrohoids or diarrhea. Hypersensitivity, such as an allergy, has been know to occur; in which case, discontinue use.
