Our Lavender Oil has an impressive profile of active compounds useful in relieving mental stress, exhaustion, and sleep issues.
Lavender oil is steam distilled from lavender flowers. The unique mosaic of natural phytochemicals includes linalool and linalyl acetate, considered to be its main active compounds.
Linalool exerts a relaxant effect on smooth muscle by inhibiting the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter compound that acts within the neuromuscular junction. Simply put, acetylcholine triggers the nerves to stimulate the muscles; modulation of this compound promotes relaxation. Lavender oil has also been shown to support the activity of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), the amino acid that regulates brain activity and relaxes.

Organic lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) essential oil, hexane-free 80mg
Other Ingredients: Organic olive oil and natural vitamin E (ᴅ‑alpha-tocopherol) (from non-GMO sunflower) (from non-GMO sunflower) in a capsule composed of annatto extract (in sunflower oil), gelatin beef, glycerin, and purified water.
