Its Anglo-Saxon name, Castor oil, has often created confusion: this oil does not come from secretions of beaver glands! It has in fact replaced this ingredient used at a time in perfumery hence its name of Castor oil.
Dosage
"For the hair: 2 to 3 times a week, apply the oil to all dry hair by massaging; cover the hair with a hot towel and leave on for ½ hour to 1 hour; then wash the hair with a shampoo .
For the nails: Every night at bedtime, apply a drop to each nail; then massage the nail, insisting on the cuticles. "
