A type of shrub with year-round foliage, the Laurel Leaf (Bay Laurel) originated in the Mediterranean basin. During the time of the Roman Empire, the wearing of a crown of laurels symbolized strength and triumph. When rubbed, the leaves release a pleasant fragrance.
Laurel leaf essential ol is used in aromatherapy as an expectorant and an antiseptic to help relieve symptoms of cold, flu and chronic bronchitis.
Posology
Inhalation: Add 4 to 12 drops to a bowl of steaming hot water/facial steamer machine. Inhale slowly and deeply for 5-10 minutes.
