Root licorice - Therapeutic herbal tea
Traditionally used in phytotherapy: as an expectorant to help relieve respiratory ailments such as catarrh, cough and bronchitis; To help relieve inflammatory bowel disease, such as gastritis.
Recommended Dose (Adults)
2 sachets (3g) 3 times a day. Take after meals (macerate in a cup of cold water for several hours, after boiling for at least 15 minutes)
Medicinal Ingredient: Each sachet contains 1.5 g dried root of Glycyrrhiza glabra L. (Licorice).
Duration of use: Consult a health care practitioner if use extends beyond 4 to 6 weeks.
Precautions / Warnings
Consult a health care practitioner: if symptoms persist or worsen; Before you use it if you are pregnant; If you have liver problems.
Cons-indications:
Do not use if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure or cardiovascular or renal disorders; If you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiotonic glucosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or any other medication that may aggravate electrolyte imbalances. Keep out of the reach of children.
Do not use if the bag is not sealed.
